Details of Buenos Aires

Apr 18, 2012 by

I remember you, Buenos Aires, so full of colour, vibrancy and animation. I remember you, so loud, so boisterous, so suffocatingly hot. You’re so full of life and protest and dead people and stray cats, so full of fresh lemonade and riot police and charming cafes and walls of old books. I remember you, full of famous faces and strange faces and faces that smile at my own strange face. “You’re not from here are you?” No, I’m certainly not. “Canadian? But why do you speak Spanish?” Because I love it, that’s why.  I remember you BA, and your wild pollution sunsets, your obnoxious early morning jackhammers, your belligerent traffic, the dashing old men and quaint old ladies. I remember the overwhelming feeling of your size, your girth, your history, your obelisk and the feeling...

Lisbon, Portugal Travel is a 360 degree, 3-dimensional experience. I always try to make a point to look up from time to time; you never know what you might see… or how you might see it. Madrid Is Sorry About Your Wall Too...

Sep 26, 2011 by

There is just so much street art to share… And an appropriate way, for whatever reason, to end this post: a dude in El Rastro market making music with crystal glasses on a slanted side street. No, I didn’t buy his CD, although I admittedly did contemplate...

Still Sorry About Your Wall

Here are some more photos of the Lisbon street art/graffiti. As I flip through my pictures, I am quickly realising how much I must like taking photos of decorated walls due to the sheer number of photos I have left to share with you. More to come! This particular piece reminded me of a couple of my friends who are cops, and then I felt nostalgic for them as I wandered around Lisbon alone. I enjoyed this because the door was actually really tiny. I was amused that such a tiny door bore such a big message. What do you think of these pieces? Do you have any favourite places with good street...
