Explore The Elements

Feb 27, 2015 by

I have selected 4 photos for Thomas Cook’s Explore the Elements Travel Photoblogging Challenge. Rather than go on about each photo and what the content means to me, I will let the images speak for themselves, and I will allow you to be guided by the contest definitions of the elements:

“Represents things that grow, expand, and enjoy freedom of movement. Associated with will, elusiveness, evasiveness, benevolence, compassion, and wisdom.”

  2. The Canadian one hands down. Gorgeous!

  3. They are all amazing, as always, Colleen. I like the content definitions for each too. I really liked Earth and Water but for me what is spectacular is that you caught that many paragliders in such close proximity to each other for Air! Great job 🙂

    • Colleen

      Thanks Mike!
Believe it or not, I was riding around in the air as a paraglider when I took that photo!

  4. Beautiful! I especially love your representation for air — it makes me feel light and happy.

    • Colleen

Thanks! The best part of that picture is that I was in the air when I took it!

  5. Not gonna lie, I kinda squealed a little bit when I saw the nomination! THANKS, Colleen!! I love the earth entry – those trees sure have a way of putting me in my place in the universe.

    • Colleen

Ah, your response makes me happy!
Aren’t those trees incredible?? There’s a little cabin tucked in there – a great perspective on size!

  6. I really love the water photo, but of course the burning ghats of Varanasi transport me back to all of my emotions, thoughts and feelings when we were there. I choose that one.

    • Colleen

I felt the same about Varanasi when I saw your pictures. It’s a captivating place…

  7. Thanks for the nomination Colleen! I’m definitely entering! I’m totally in love with your ‘water’ picture! WOW!

Oh thank you! It was so neat to see Lake Huron like that.
