HAPPY OCTOBER, FRIENDS!

This is easily one of my favourite months of the year, and it may or may not have something to do with my crazy neighbour who fills (FILLS!) his lawn every year with inflatable Halloween decorations. Pumpkins, ghosts, Jack Skellington, witches and cauldrons, you name it. Most of them light up and move mechanically too!

Well, my dear ghouls and goblins, for this particular October, I am celebrating by announcing a giveaway. My beloved friend Dawn‘s debut novel entered our midst this fine year, and I want to send you a copy!

Even though YA horror/psychological thriller is not a genre I can say I ever read, I absolutely devoured this book, cover to cover. I am sure you will too, and it will make your October all the more eerie, moody and memorable.

Don’t miss out on this chance! I am going to send one hardcover copy of the book to one lucky winner, wherever he/she resides in the world. Winner will appropriately be announced on Hallow’s Eve Day. *cue evil laughter*

  1. October and I have a love/hate relationship. There’s all the pretty fall colors, cool air, crunching leaves, mulled cider, etc. And also my birthday, which is sometimes good, sometimes scary. But I’ll be honest and say I really don’t love Halloween (except this year I’ll be off at a non-Halloween themed wedding on Halloween, so that will be great), and I despise the impending doom of Winter that October brings. So October and me? We’re in an on again, off again relationship. 😉

  2. Fall is a lovely season in Canada, so I don’t mind October. Plus, it’s both my son and my husband’s birthdays, and Thanksgiving.

Gotta love neighbours who go overboard with Halloween decorations! All the fun, none of the hassle 😆

I’m entering, looks like it’s a book I’d enjoy. And kudos to the writer, publishing a novel is a major accomplishment!

  3. I love October because of all the birthdays! (Don’t tell me you don’t know a ton of people with birthdays this month!) 🙂 Also, I LOOOVVVVEEE horror/psychological thrillers! Would love to win this book!

  4. I love October because Halloween is a blast with kiddos. They get so excited. Were already trying on costumes yesterday, and now we’re making plans for pumpkin carving for next weekend. It’s a fun way to bring in fall!

  5. October happens to be my favourite month too! For me it’s the colourful trees and the autumn wind that does it for me! Also; I LOVE the fall clothing style. 🙂 I’m entering the give away, how great is it that you know the writer?! I’ve never read a horror thriller (except the mandatory ones in school). There is a first time for everything! 😀

  6. I love October because of all of the great gourds. I can’t get enough squash and pumpkin in my life and I’d love to eat all of it curled up with this nice looking book!
