A Special Day In Portmeirion

Jun 4, 2014 by

Dawn‘s little car, the Pod, as she calls it, rolled over the green hills of North Wales, the white sheep punctuating the landscape. Our chatter was nonstop, and our hearts light with a day of adventure ahead of us. Inspired by fellow blogger, Helen’s day in Portmeirion, we decided to go too. I’m really glad we did… this little Welsh village is just the cutest place ever.

It was a lovely place. I can hardly believe people are so lucky to live there! Although… I might get irritated having to deal with the tourists. haha!

  5. Special day indeed!
Those colors and textures all about the town are incredible.
    Like an artist’s palette.

  6. Ack! It looks like a kooky theme park! Were there any other people there??

    • Colleen

You are right! Can you believe people live here? The village actually closes to outsiders after certain hours, and some parts are closed off for “residents only”. There were loads of other people there soaking up the cuteness, but I typically try to take my photos with as few people in them as possible if I can help it… that way photos feel more timeless to me.

  7. I’ve never been to this particular town, but I have huge affection for North Wales. We spent a month working at a B&B in Snowdonia, and it was completely magical. This area of the UK is so underrated.

  11. This was great, Colleen! That picture of you in the wooden booth made me laugh 🙂 What on earth is that wicked looking long green vine or plant?? Did it try to grab you? 🙂

    • Colleen

Haha I have a pretty hilarious series (actually multiple series) of me in that wooden bench contraption.
No idea what that plant is, but it sure is amazing, non?
