All The Liebe

Wow! If I’ve done my math correctly (and we should never trust my mental math), this is the third time I’ve been nominated¬†for the Liebster Blog Award. Last year, I was nominated twice and answered 22 questions in one go, and this year, Kristen from A Gypsy Breeze put me in her list of nominees. I’m going to break the rules here and not nominate anyone or come up with my own questions (only because I’ve done these relay type posts a number of times) but I¬†will answer the questions! Just a little gratuitous rambling. Here are the 11 questions. 1. If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be and why? Lord have mercy on us all right now. I’ve lived in Canada (Winnipeg and Waterloo), and I’ve lived in...

Bookends: Shek O & The Caribbean...

Feb 25, 2014 by

Every trip comes with its struggles, just as every day comes with its tribulations. I have only my own feelings and state to deal with, and that’s the beauty of this decision.     I believe the universe speaks to us. I would even go so far as to say that we are all psychics. Every single one of us...

The Wedding

Dec 14, 2013 by

This past June, I attended my first ever Indian wedding – the wedding of one of my dearest friends, Anishka. I have never seen or experienced anything like it in my life; in fact, several of the guests agreed that even Bollywood celebrities don’t throw weddings this luxurious or extravagant. This wedding was the stuff of dreams. Knowing my friend Anishka, every detail had been her vision and dream. As she is one of the only friends I’ve ever had growing up with whom I actually discussed weddings, it was nice to see her signature all over this wedding, her wedding, the wedding of her dreams. As such, I felt very much like I was floating around in my 12 year old self’s reverie, looking into the future, observing that which we always imagined,...
